Bid to ban Tintin book in Belgium

A Congolese male is perplexing to get the argumentative Tintin book banned in the animation star's home nation of Belgium.

A court is due to order after upon whether Tintin in the Congo can be sold in Belgian shops and, if it can be, if it must arrangement the notice it is racist.

It has already captivated much criticism for the wanton racial stereotypes.

Three years ago the UK's Commission for Racial Equality called for the book to be banned, saying it contained imagery as well as words of appalling racial prejudice.

Written in the late 1920s it was the second Tintin journey combined by Herge, who after pronounced it was the childish sin that reflected the prejudices of the time.

Now UK editions are generally found alongside more adult books as well as are sold with the band of paper around the outside, notice the calm is offensive.

Now Bienvenue Mbutu, the Congolese inhabitant vital in Belgium, is asking the Belgian courts to ban the book, although he says he would be satisfied if it was sold with the notice similar to the one used in Britain.
