Lygo to leave Channel 4 for ITV

Channel 4 director of radio Kevin Lygo is leaving the broadcaster to take up the post with ITV.

Lygo has been allocated handling director of ITV Studios after six years at Channel 4.

During his time at Channel 4, TV uncover highlights have enclosed Skins, Come Dine With Me, The Inbetweeners, Deal Or No Deal, as well as Da Ali G Show.

He pronounced he was "very excited" by the brand new challenges ahead, while ITV pronounced it was the "great signing".

'New hits'

Mr Lygo's broadcasting career spans 3 decades, together with purposes at the BBC, Channel 4 as well as Five.

He said: "ITV Studios is the single of the many successful commercial producers in the UK as well as owns some of the biggest brands in TV.

"Our goal is to keep those programmes fresh as well as relevant, rise brand new hits as well as feat the full value of those properties opposite all platforms in the UK as well as internationally."

It is approaching Lygo will go on to work closely with Channel 4 through his brand new ITV role, as the single of the broadcaster's programme suppliers.
